Three PhD GRAs are available at TAMU, College Station. The first position pertains to digital Agronomy/Weed Science, with emphasis on computer vision and robotics for weed recognition and site-specific management. This is an inter-disciplinary project, working as part of a leading multi-institutional research team (GROW, PSA networks).
The second position is focused on a USDA-BRAG funded study on understanding gene flow between grain sorghum and weedy relatives (johnsongrass, shattercane). The student will be co-advised by Drs. Muthukumar Bagavathiannan (Weed Science/Agronomy) and William Rooney (Sorghum Breeding).
The third position involves weed biology/Agronomy and the development of novel methods to advance integrated weed management.
