The Opportunity:
Vestaron Corp. has an exciting opportunity for a Field Development Manager - Northeast. If you have an entrepreneurial passion for providing new technical solutions to universities, growers and dealers, while helping to develop a high-performance start-up culture, this job is for you! Main duty is to manage field research trials with 3rd party cooperators. Specific responsibilities include drafting appropriate protocols for the various stages of development, contracting with universities, contract research organizations and grower demonstrations. This includes working with Vestaron’s research scientists and entomologists, as well as providing key information to regulatory, formulations and other key roles in a very dynamic environment.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of agricultural insecticide markets in the northeast and north-central regions of the United States and willing to manage multiple projects and provide key information within Vestaron and to our stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Develop 3rd party contract research trials for our current products as well as our rich pipeline of peptide-based pesticides
Track progress of trials, analyze and summarize results, and develop technical recommendations for the commercial organization based on study outcomes
Work cross-functionally with sales and marketing to support education on new technologies to external stakeholders (growers, distributors, universities)
Understand the competitive landscape and how Vestaron’s products will compete in the northeast and north-central geographies
Obtain and communicate competitive practices and assist in the assessment of competitive information
Identify and develop new business opportunities for increased sales to existing accounts or acquiring new accounts
Function as a Team Player with a willingness to identify issues and opportunities resulting in the development and implementation of appropriate actions
Requires 50% travel to service territory responsibilities and work from your home office in the northeast and north-central regions
In addition to technical data support and communication with growers/distributors in the assigned territory, responsibilities will also include additional marketing duties such as attending and presenting at tradeshows and conferences
Requirements:
Minimum MSc degree (PhD preferred), with strong background in entomology, agronomy and/or pest management
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar positions
Experience in statistics, experimental design, protocol development and data management, and ideally working knowledge of ARM software for data analytics
Ability to work in a small informal team environment and to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to serve as primary expert in the areas of responsibility, and to prioritize and manage objectives with management and stakeholders
Excellent written and oral skills for sharing information with internal and external audiences
