Join us as our new Technical Services Scientist for the baking industry We are seeking an experienced, action-oriented and service-oriented specialist to join our Food & Beverage team as a Technical Service Senior or Staff Scientist servicing our customers in the baking industry
Welcome to Consumer Biosolutions, Food & Beverage Technical Service Team Our Technical Service function sits at a critical interface between science and business. You will be challenged, rewarded and supported as you develop yourself within our highly science and strategy-driven company. You will build lasting relationships with your fellow Zymers and within your customer network.
In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Supporting our baking customers in U.S. and Canada
Setting up experimental designs to screen Novozymes products in various baking applications
Guiding laboratory work of a research assistant
Working in cross functional teams that includes, sales, marketing, R&D, quality, etc.
Presenting technical information to baking customers and industry forums
Developing baked good prototypes
Identifying customer needs and transform them into solutions
Potentially relevant experience:
Minimum BS or MS degree in Food Science, Cereal Chemistry or Baking Science
Two to four years of experience in the development of bake goods/baking industry with a solid understanding of food ingredient functionality.
Ability to create experimental designs and perform statistical analyses
Proven ability to work with cross functional teams and/or customers in the food industry and support their needs.
Project management experience
Ability to travel up to 25% within the US
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Location: This job will be located at Novozymes NA site in Franklinton, NC.
