Dr. Chris Paola, an interdisciplinary researcher based in the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences and the St. Anthony Falls Laboratory within the College of Science and Engineering, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to carry out experimental research at the interface between seismology and marine sedimentology.  65% - Experimental Research related to sediment transport during earthquakes- Perform experiments using our unique SAFL âœearthquake duct❠to study entrainment conditions during earthquakes, for a wide range of sediment and flow conditions.- Time permitting, carry out experiments on the transport and deposition of earthquake-entrained sediment.- Analyze resulting data in relation to field observations of earthquake-related deposits 10%
