PhD Position in Agricultural Nitrogen Cycling
PhD graduate student positions are available to join our research program aimed at understanding soil nitrogen (N) cycling, crop N use efficiency, and N2O emission dynamics. Our research contributes to informing the design of more sustainable agroecosystems, including specialty crops, cereal and oilseeds, and pulse crop production systems. The PhD student will gain expertise in understanding soil-microbe-plant N cycling processes, using stable isotope techniques, measuring greenhouse gases, and modelling N transformation and movement in agroecosystems—skills that are being sought after in the era of climate-smart farming.
