A postdoctoral research fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Ayele at the University of Manitoba to investigate hormonal regulation of traits of economic importance including abiotic stress tolerance in cereals. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in plant biology or a related discipline with solid experience in standard and emerging molecular biology techniques, and use of genomics/genetics approaches such as gene cloning and vector construction, plant tissue culture, generation and analysis of mutants and genetic variants, and bioinformatic analysis of next generation sequencing data.
