This position is located at the Northwest Research and Outreach Center located in Crookston, MN. NWROC is part of the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) which is located in St. Pau;, however the position and the work required is in Crookston.
Additional staff is needed to assist in numerous agronomic research projects involving small grains; wheat, barley, oats and rye. Projects are funded from the MN Wheat Research and Promotion Council as well as MN Barely Research and Promotion Council. The work provided by additional employees is crucial to the success of the research for all of these projects.
Position description: 40% Assist in maintaining plot research 20% Assist in laboratory and monitoring plants 20% Assist in collecting data and note taking on crops 10% Assist with chores in various research buildings 10% Assist with push mower in some fields
Preferred:
Must be 16 years old or older
Have the ability to work outdoors in a natural environment
Interests in science and agriculture
Required Qualifications:
Must be a high school student
Must be reliable and hard-working with a positive attitude.
