The Agriculture Research Specialist Sr. will manage field and greenhouse research trials on agronomic field crops (i.e., soybean and wheat) conducted at the University of Kentucky Research and Education Center in Princeton, KY and at offsite field research locations. Duties will include all operations in conducting field research trials (seed preparation, planting, soil fertility management, pest management, application of treatments, collection of data, collection of samples, harvesting, etc.). The selected applicant will be expected to maintain or coordinate maintenance of all field research equipment, and assist with preparation of research data summaries and reports.

Preferred Education/Experience:
M.S. Degree in Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Plant Sciences, or related field. Experience with field research trials on agronomic crops. Experience operating and maintaining agricultural and field research equipment. Knowledge of crop production and pest management in agronomic field crops (i.e. soybean and wheat).
