Overview: The School of Environment and Natural Resources at the Ohio state university invites applications for a Visiting Fellow position. This fellowship focuses on advancing research in conservation and regenerative agriculture, specifically examining the effects of no-tillage and crop diversification on soil functions and the sequestration of soil organic carbon.
Responsibilities: The Visiting Fellow will:
Conduct a comprehensive literature review on soil health impacts of no-till farming and complex crop rotations in South America, with emphasis on Brazil (40%).
Perform statistical analyses on datasets provided by the fellow (20%).
Participate in staff meetings and present research findings at seminars (20%).
Engage with other visiting scholars and graduate students to foster collaboration (10%).
Improve proficiency in written and spoken English (10%).
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Soil Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
Strong background in soil health, conservation agriculture, and data analysis.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
